Some time back Al phoned Victor Gollancz's Science Fiction imprint, trying to get some 'cover' work, and wound up talking to senior editor, Faith Brooker. He was amazed to discover that she knew his work, but that she was also commissioning a line of Graphic Novels, She asked him to come in with a proposal. He turned up with a page of art and a half-page synopsis for a 'dream based' graphic novel... she gave it the green light on the spot. This was to be Al's first serious attempt at working in full color.
