Al was commissioned by editor Alisa Kwitney to write and draw a two-parter for The Dreaming, 'The Dark Rose', which was colored by Danial Vozzo and lettered by Ellie DeVille. Shelly Bond took over the editorial reigns when Alisa left to have a baby. Shelly was ably assisted by Jenny Lee. The covers were by Dave McKean. Issue #40 was written by the brilliant Caitlin Kiernan, a partial sequel to Al's original story-arc, using the same team as above. Both Alisa Kwitney and Caitlin Kiernan are successful novelists. Alisa's Sandman: King of Dreams is out now.
